The engagement of Miss Singleton, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. T. Singleton, of Martinsville, to John Lewis Wamsley, of Indianapolis has been announced. The wedding will take place September 3. Miss Singleton is a graduate at DePauw University.

MARTINSVILLE - Miss Mary Singleton, daughter or Mr. and Mrs. F. T. Singleton of this city, and John Lewis Wamsley of Indianapolis were married at the bride's home Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, the ceremony being said by the Rev. H. H. Allen, pastor of the M. E. Church. Miss Rose Singleton, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor and Dr. Paul Miller of Indianapolis best man. After a wedding trip to New York, Mr. and Mrs. Wamsley will make their home in Boston, Mass., where Mr. Wamsley will have charge of the Diamond Chain Company.

Mrs. Wamsley, Age 67, Dies
Word was received here yesterday of the death of Mrs. Mary Wamsley, 67.
Mrs. Wamsley, who died in her sleep at her home in Tulsa, Okla., was the daughter of F. T.
Singleton, publisher of the Martinsville Daily Reporter prior to World War I. She left this
community about 40 years ago.
She is survived by her husband, John, and three sons, Walter, Jack and Frank.
