ASHLEY, MRS. IRENE
Died Mondy, July 15, at 2:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She was 85, a resident of 1249 Convention St. and a native of Albany. Body at Rabenhorst from 2 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday. Religious services at the Rabenhorst Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Charles E. Lamb. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Meral Neisler, Baton Rouge; a son, William Woodrow Martin, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Gill, Denham Springs, and Mrs. Maude Foster, Albany; a granddaughter, Mrs. Dorothy Ann Prince, Kennewick, Wash., and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin L. Ashley. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Camelia Rebecca No. 62, the American Legion Auxiliary and past commander of the Navy Mothers Club. There will be a Rebecca service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
