Amelia Kaiser Wessel, a homemaker, died March 1 at her home. She was 90. Mrs. Wessel was born in New Orleans and lived in Jefferson for many years. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Women's Club, a member of the 7th Ward Senior Citizens Round Dancers Club and was a March of Dimes agent. She is survived by two sons, John Jr. and Dennis Wessel ; two daughters, Sister Rose Mary Wessel and Betty Bohm; a sister, Elsie Parrott; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were held Thursday at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Burial was in Cypress Grove Cemetery.
