OBITUARY Joseph E. Hayes
Joseph E. Hayes, the son of Edward S. and Ellen Chase Hayes, passed away Friday night, November 22, 1946, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 29 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Cora Sterling in 1895, who survives him. He was suddenly stricken with a heart attack two weeks ago, and in spite of all loving hearts and tender hands could do, departed this life,
Friday evening.
He passed his entire life in this neighborhood, and was born just a short distance from where he passed away. He was a kind and loving husband,-and always had a smile and kind word for every one. He was familiarly called Uncle Joe, and will be sadly missed by his friends and neighbors.
He leaves to mourn their loss, his devoted wife, Cora Sterling Hayes; one brother, Edward L.
Hayes, Sr., Lawrenceburg; lnd.; two nephews, Layman L. Hayes, and Edward L. Hayes, Jr., both of Lawrenceburg. Ind., _and two neices, Mrs. Jenette Evans, of Hamilton, Ohio, and Mrs. Aletha Blanchfill; of Pine Grove, W. Va.
November brings sad memories.
Of a loved one laid to rest.
He will never be forgotten,
