Of interest among the later September weddings was that of Miss Arthelia Lucille Stieffel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emile Laurant Stieffel, to Mr. Edward Martin Snyder, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Snyder of this city, celebrated Saturday morning last at the Sacred Heart of Jesus church on Canal street with the Rev. G. J. McNamara officiating. The bride was given away by her father and wore a pretty gown of ivory-colored satib on princess' line, with a tulle veil held to a cap of real lace.
The attendants on the bride were Mrs. Walter D. Stella, Jr., as matron of honor, Misses Altha Schulz, Dorothy Walsh and Mercedes Ledet as bridesmaids. The best man was Mr. Harold Rauch, the groomsmen were Messrs. James Stieffel, Martin Klein and Leonard Johnson. The ushers were Messrs. Lloyd Bouchon and Leo Leach.
A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents on Jefferson Davis Parkway. Mrs. Stieffel was assisted in receiving by the bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Edward Martin Snyder, and members of the bridal party.
The young couple will be at home in New Orleans at 6023 Colbert street.
