Mrs. Ava Crumbley
Services will be held Tuesday for Mrs. Ava Crumbley, 79, 1854 Michigan Ave., a retired pottery worker who died at 3:30 a.m. today at the East Liverpool Extended Care Center after a long illness.
She was born at Ripley, W. Va., Sept. 30, 1893, a daughter of Charles and Cora Casto Hayes. She was married to John Crumbley, who died in 1959.
A resident of this area almost all her life, Mrs. Crumbley was a waredresser for area potteries for some 40 years, retiring in 1956.
She was a member of the Oakland Free Methodist Church.
Survivors include six sons, Robert Crumbley of Tucson, Ariz., Glenn Crumbley of Westminster, Calif., John Crumbley of Jacksonville, Fla., Carl Crumbley and James Crumbley at home and Donald Crumbley of East Liverpool: a daughter, Mrs. George (Alma) Spears of Jacksonville: 15
grandchildren and 15 great - grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Thomas J. Petro of the church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday afternoon and night.
