THE PORT ARTHUR NEWS \emdash Annie Inez Holden Raiford departed this life to go to her heavenly home on April 17, 2010, at Cypress Medical Center in Houston, Texas. She was born June 14, 1928 in Port Arthur, TX. and attended Thomas Jefferson High School. She graduated from San Marcos Baptist Academy and Baylor University.
Inez loved music, loved to laugh, and had an unshakable faith in God. She touched the lives of many people with her kindness and maintained her selfless nature to the end.
She was one of two children born to the late Lee Allen and Lela Mae Holden and was the beloved wife of the late Aubrey Raiford for over 40 years. Inez is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Aubrey Raiford. She is survived by her brother, Lee Allen Holden, DVM and his wife Linda of Oklahoma City; daughter Luann Raiford of Spring TX.; daughter and husband Patti and Larry King of Cheek TX.; daughter and husband Melinda and John Buchanan of Decatur TX. She is also survived by grandchildren Jacob Boyer and wife Cecily; Caleb and Miriam Boyer; Alan and Bridgette King; Aubrey Buchanan and wife Lezlie and Samuel Buchanan, She is also survived by her adored great grandchildren Kennedy Boyer and Gavin Buchanan.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves TX. with Pastor Randy Feldschau officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Groves.
