Marguerite Giorlando Ferrara, a homemaker, died Wednesday at Metairie Healthcare Center. She was 81. Mrs. Ferrara was born in Patterson and lived in New Orleans for many years and in Metairie for the past 15 years. She was a former employee of Behr's Bakery. She was a former parishioner of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and a former resident of Metairie Manor. Survivors include two sons, Frank J. and Kelly P.
Ferrara Jr.; two daughters, Christina F. Chappetta Robicheaux and Margaret F. Swanford; three brothers, Frank, Phil and C.J. Giorlando; two sisters, Lana G. Lumetta and Mary G. George; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 11 a.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Mausoleum.
