City Official's Father Dies
LEBANON. O. -\emdash Charles Guard Sr., 89, father of Lebanon's city manager, Charles Guard, died early yesterday after a long illness.
Born in Kansas, Mr. Guard came here at an early age and became well known as a successful farmer. After his retirement, he and Mrs. Guard moved to Lebanon.
He is survivedhy his wife, Margaret; one son, Charles Jr.; three daughters, Mrs. Paul Price of Dayton, Mrs. David Tapley of Michigan and Mrs. Charles Parent of Lebanon; one brother, Milton. and a sister.
Leah Guard, both of Cincinnati.
Private services for the family will be held tomorrow at the Oswald funeral home here. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Lebanon cemetery.
