Died 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 1992, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 84, a native of Greensburg and a resident of Baton Rouge. She was a retired librarian with East Baton Rouge Parish Library System. Visiting was held at Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., 4 to 9 p.m. Friday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel, 10 a.m. until religious services at noon Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Penn Morgan. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William A. "Billy" McGehee Jr. and Alice Roy McGehee, both of Baton Rouge; and a sister, Ruth Herbert, Hammond. Preceded in death by husband, William A. "Bill" McGehee Sr. Pallbearers will be Jack Herbert, Jerry Durnin, Terry Durnin, John Durnin, Donnie Abadie and Webb McGehee.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, member and past Matron of Eunice Chapter No. 14 of Order of Eastern Star. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
