Miss Janet Joan Jenkins, whose engagement to Mr. Talmadge C. Crowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Crowe of Franklinton, La., has announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Hoy Jenkins of Ponchatoula.

Miss Janet Jenkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Hoy Jenkins, of Ponchatoula became the bride of Mr. Talmadge Crowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Crowe, on Saturday, April 11th at 10:00 o'clock a. m. The wedding took place at the home of the bride's parents. The Rev. Bob Wilson performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride was dressed in a Navy blue suit with Navy blue and white accessories with a white orchid corsage.
Miss Patricia Jenkins, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor and Mr. Conrad Crowe, brother of the groom, served as Best Man.
Guests present were those of the bride's and groom's families.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds left on a honeymoon trip to the Gulf Coast. Upon their return they will reside in Franklinton.

TALMADGE COLON CROWE, SR. AGE 83, and a resident of Amite died Monday afternoon July 27, 2015 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was a longtime member of Canaan Baptist Church and a United States Army veteran. Talmadge was a lifelong dairyman that enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. He was an avid deer hunter and cherished all the time spent with his family and grandchildren.
Survived by: Daughter and Son in law: Teresa and Farrion Holden of Amite. 3 Sons and Daughters in law: Talmadge Crowe, Jr. and Betty Crowe, Talbert and Jody Crowe, Tadd and Michelle Crowe all of Amite. 7 Grandchildren and Spouses: Donnell "Donnie" Grace, Jr. and Natalie Grace, Krystle and Daniel Wall, Gary and Jamie Crowe, Justin and Jennifer Crowe, Tanya Lea Crowe, Cody Wayne Crowe, Tabitha Joan Crowe. 5 Great-grandchildren: Hadley Grace, Shelby Wall, McKayla Crowe, Jaci Crowe, Jaxon Crowe. 3 Sisters in law: Yvonne Crowe, Geneva Crowe, Laphate Crowe. Also numerous nieces and nephews0
He was preceded in death by his wife Janet Joan Jenkins Crowe, his parents Otto Crowe and Zula Varnado Crowe, son in law Donnell Grace, Sr., brothers Coy Crowe, Glenn Crowe, Sr., Conrad Crowe and a sister Lerlean Crowe Burch.
Visitation will be at Canaan Baptist Church Thursday July 30th from 8:30 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Rev. Stan Adams and Rev. Eddie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
