   Miss Janet Joan Jenkins, whose engagement to Mr. Talmadge C. Crowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Crowe of Franklinton, La., has announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Hoy Jenkins of Ponchatoula.

CROWE-JENKINS
   Miss Janet Jenkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Hoy Jenkins, of Ponchatoula became the bride of Mr. Talmadge Crowe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Crowe, on Saturday, April 11th at 10:00 o'clock a. m. The wedding took place at the home of the bride's parents. The Rev. Bob Wilson performed the double ring ceremony.
   The bride was dressed in a Navy blue suit with Navy blue and white accessories with a white orchid corsage.
   Miss Patricia Jenkins, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor and Mr. Conrad Crowe, brother of the groom, served as Best Man.
   Guests present were those of the bride's and groom's families.
   After the ceremony, the newlyweds left on a honeymoon trip to the Gulf Coast. Upon their return they will reside in Franklinton.

Mrs. Janet Jenkins Crowe
Mrs. Janet Jenkins Crowe, 54. a resident of Route Two. Amite, died early Wednesday, June 14th, at the Seventh Ward General Hospital in Hammond.
She is survived by her husband, Talmadge C. Crowe Sr. of Amite; three sons, Talmadge C. Crowe Jr.. Talbert W. Crowe, and Tadd J. Crowe. all of Amite: a daughter, Mrs. Donnell (Teresa) Grace of Amite; her mother, Mrs. Theo Jenkins of Slidell; two sisters, Theo Jenkins of Slidell: two sisters, Mrs. Pat Cunningham of Texas and Mrs. Joyce Doody of Slidell; a brother. Erwin Hoy Jenkins Jr. of Hammond; four grandchildren: and two step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father. Erwin Hoy Jenkins Sr.
The body lay in state at the Grain Funeral Home in Franklinton until the time for funeral services. which were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16th, at the Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.
Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Dale Mixon, Kenneth Slocum. Jimmy Clark, Erwin Jenkins. Dewayne Grace, and Lonnie Pape. Honorary pallbearers were Conrad Crowe. Roger Doody,. Gene Cunningham, Glen Crowe Jr., Max Jenkins and Carey Burch.
