The marriage of Miss Helen Generes to Mr. Louis J. Derbes was quietly celebrated last Saturday evening, July 26, at 6:30 o'clock, by Rev, Father Henrionnet, at St. Augustine's church, in the presence of relatives and a number of interested friends. Numerous waxen tapers illuminated the altar, and palms were grouped within the chapel. The maid of honor, Miss Brou, was pretilly gowned in white tucked mousseline de sole, and carried a cluster of white carnations. The bride, who entered with her father, Mr. Louis Generes, was daintily gowned in white mousseline de sole, trimmed with rare old lace. The long veil of illusion was held in place with a spray of orange blossoms. A bouquet of bride roses was carried. A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. Cariton. Mr. and Mrs. Derbes will reside with the bride's parents, on Ursuline avenue, until they go to housekeeping.
