Abraham A.J. "Uncle" Abide on Wednesday, December 12, 2001. Son of the late Mary Kelley Abide and Richard Abide. Brother of Adele A. Joseph, Matilda A. Shibley, Amelia A. Prats, Rose Mary A. Benitez, the late Hannah A. Nolan and Ellis R. Abide, Sr. Brother-in-law of Margaret S. Abide and Albert "Al" Prats. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Aged 77 years. A native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Services will be held from JACOB SCHOEN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 3827 CANAL STREET AT N. SCOTT on Friday, December 14, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Pius X, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd. at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Funeral Home on Thursday, December 13, 2001 from 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
