The city of Cleves has a sensation. Thirteen years ago, Warren West, Jr., married Miss Katie Matson. Recently her name became associated with that of her husband's friend, Barrows. On the strength of these rumors, Mrs. West made a statement to the effect that Barrows and herself were not any more than friends - in fact, he was simply a friend of the family's, assisting them financially when they needed it, as Mr. West was out of work.
