Died 5:25 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 1986, at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was a native of Greensburg. He was a retired Exxon Co. USA operator, and vice president of Gas Utilities District 1. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, 8 a.m. Saturday until religious services at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Tom Bergeron. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Gladys Durnin McGehee, Baton Rouge; a son, W.A. "Billy" McGehee Jr., Baton Rouge; two sisters, Lela Reeves, Greensburg, and Elaine Abadie, Baton Rouge; and two brothers, Percy McGehee, Pine Grove, and Sam McGehee, Baton Rouge. Pallbearers will be Ed, Blake, Eugene and Webb McGehee, Jimmy and Donnie Abadie. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Board of Gas Utilities District 1. He was a member of Bethel Methodist Church, and Plains Lodge No. 135, F&AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children, 1130 Louisiana Ave., Shreveport, 71103.
