Frances Virginia Robbins Manguno, 94, of Dickinson Center passed away Sunday while hospitalized at Adirondack Medical Center. Born, November 20, 1921, the daughter of the late John and Anna Borkowski of Lowville. She was predeceased by her brother George Borkowski in 1963 and two husbands, Victor I. Robbins in 1978 and Joseph Manguno in 2001. She grew up in Tug Hill, NY and moving to Glenfield, NY where she owned a farm for four years. She later worked for Lloyds of Lowville, AMF, Inc. and made doughnuts at Snow Ridge, Turin, NY. She then became a homemaker doing a lot of canning, gardening and passed on her recipes to family and friends. She enjoyed fishing and loved animals. She was an independent kindred spirit and a sweet woman. Frances is survived by a daughter; a son; two step-sons; Granddaughters; Great-grandchildren... Private graveside services will be at a future date, family only.

Born, November 20, 1921, the daughter of the late John and Anna Borkowski of Lowville. She was predeceased by her brother George Borkowski in 1963 and two husbands, Victor I. Robbins in 1978 and Joseph Manguno in 2001.

Frances is survived by a daughter, Victoria Pandillo of Syracuse, NY; a son, Michael Robbins of Dickinson Center, NY; step-sons, Ray Robbins of Parish, NY and Ernest Robbins of Rome, NY; Granddaughters, Christine Hopkins of Adams, NY, Colleen Santillanes of Liverpool, NY, and Carey Merrill of South Orange, NJ; Great-grandchildren, Ryan, Mathew, Allison, Emily, Greta and Lincoln.

Calling hours will be on Friday, May 8 from 5 - 7 p.m. with services to follow immediately at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse, NY. Private graveside services will be at a future date, family only.
