JULIA RUTH VINING
Died 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 1991, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home, Denham Springs. She was 88, a native of Amite and resident of Denham Springs. She was a retired St. Helena Parish schoolteacher. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday. Religious services at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Terry Booth. Interment in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Pine Grove. Survived by a daughter, Avis Copeland, Pensacola, Fla.; a son, Paul M. Hornsby , Denham Springs; a sister, Kathryn Thompson, Amite; a brother, Thomas Vining , Pine Grove; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Norman Lawrence Hornsby . She was a member of Milldale Baptist Church, Zachary. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
