Died 5:20 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 1991, at Oakley House Care Center. She was 81, a native of St. Helena Parish and a resident of Denham Springs. Religious services were held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Carl Foster and the Rev. Mike Hegwood. Interment in Killian Chapel Cemetery, Montpelier. Survived by nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Gridley W. Evans ; parents, four brothers, and two sisters. She was a member of Walker Baptist Church, Louisiana Retired State Employees Association and AARP.
