Per The Hayes Family Phoebe Commons married Jesse Bond, who was born in North Carolina in 1779. They moved to Indiana in 1807, and setttled where Earlham College now stands in Wayne County. He was a Quaker minister throughout his life. He died in 1862 on his farm, south of Greenfork, Wayne County, Indiana, which he bought soon after coming to Indiana. Phoebe died in 1845. They had eleven children.
