One hundred and nineteen girls graduated in Millinery, dressmaking, commercial design and salesman, from the Francis T. Nicholls Industrial school, were presented with diplomas by Arthur C. Sharon, member of the school board, Thursday night at the Sophie B. Wright High school. J. M. Gwinn, superintendent of public schools, directed the programme. Nicholas Galian, assistant United States district attorney, delivered and address to the graduates.

Jovians Name Poster Contest Winners
The poster committee of the New Orleans Jovian League, at their final lunchoen of the season Tuesday, announced winners in the poster contest held recently.

The first prize in the school division went to Miss Rita Fishel and the second to Miss Ruth Rathke.
All posters entered in the contest were considered so good by the league that they were forwarded to the Society for Electrical development in New York City, and will be entered in the National Poster Competition which will be held early in June. The posters will be returned to the city and then placed on exhibition in the rooms of the New Orleans Railway and Light Company.

NICHOLLS SCHOOL GIRL WINS HONOR
Winning five prizes in one year is a good showing for any school, but the Nicholls school class in commercial design have won first or seconf prize in every contest they have entered. The last contestant to win honors for the school is Miss Ruth Rathke, who captured the second prize in the poster contest for the Mississippi Centennial Exposition at Gulfport, Miss., in competition with artists and students all over the United States. First prize was awarded to a student in the Detroit School of Design, considered one on the strongest schools of commercial design in this country.

Y.; grandmother of Glen, Nancy and Suzanne Pearce of North Syracuse, N. Y.; daughter of the late Christine Walther and John Frederick Rathke; sister of the late Walter Rathke.
Relatives and friends of the family, also officers and members of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, New Orleans Ring No. 27, are invited to attend the funeral.
Services from the House of Bultman, St. Charles avenue at Louisiana avenue, on Wednesday afternoon, April 17, 1963, at 2 o'clock.
Interment in Lafayette cemetery No. 1, Washington avenue at Prytania street.
