Louis J. Perschall, Sr. passed on to heaven at the age of 85, on Wednesday, July 9, 2008. A lifelong native of New Orleans and recent resident of River Ridge. He graduated from Holy Cross High School and served his country during World War II in the US Navy. He was a retired assistant foreman of the Mechanic Shop with the Sewrage and Water Board of New Orleans.

Beloved husband of Idabell Conkerton Perschall, dedicated father of Elizabeth Karge, Judy Schneider and Louis J. Perschall, Jr. Loving grandfather of Michael Karge, M.D. and the late Zachary Perschall, step-grandfather Danielle Gill and brother of Iris Marquez. Preceded in death by his parents Frank X. Perschall and Caroline Silbernagel Perschall, brothers Clement, Frank, Leslie Perschall and sister Althea Graf.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchar-train Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park and Mausoleum. Visitation on Monday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM.
