Thomas G. Mulherin, 70, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014. He was born February
18, 1938 in Evansville to Charles and Mary Margaret (Miller) Mulherin.
Tom graduated from Memorial High School and later from the University of Evansville, where he played basketball on the 1959 to 1960 Division II basketball championship and was known for his shot from the corner. Tom worked for Sterling Brewery and later became business agent for local # 1153 and then became Teamsters Agent 215 from where he retired. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Tom coached basketball at St. Boniface, Holy Redeemer, Corpus Christi and Holy Rosary Parishes for many years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy (Townsend) Mulherin; daughters, Maureen O'Daniel, Jane Russell (Todd) and Ann Schapker (Roger). all of Evansville; sons, Pat Mulherin, Mike Mulherin (Jane), both of Evansville, Tom Mulherin, of Terre Haute, John Mulherin (Pepper) and Matt Mulherin (Angela), both of Evansville; grandchildren, Kaitlin Conde, Janelle, Justin, Michael, Johnpy and Marinna Mulherin, Adrianna, Nick, Madeline and Joe O'Daniel, Morgan, Jackson Mulherin, Dillon and Fallon Mulherin, Mallory and Josh Russell, Austin, Nolan and Taylor Schapker, Luke, Ethan and Trent Mulherin; great-
granddaughter, Hailey O'Daniel.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S.
l-Iebron Ave, Evansville, IN 47714 with a memorial service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:30 to
10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3101 Bayard l'ark Dr., Evansville,
IN 47714.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16 at the church with Fr. Ted Tempel and Fr. Alex Zenthoefer officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
