Died 1:33 am. Saturday, June 12, 1976, at the Hotel Dleu Hospital, New Orleans. He was 65. a native of Tangipahoa Parish and a resident of Covington. He was a retired carpenter. Body at Thomas
Funeral Home. Ponchatoula, with visiting from 6 to 11 p.m. Sunday. Religious services will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ponchatoula at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial in the Ponchatoula cemetery. Rosary will be at 7:45 p.m. Sunday.
Survived by three daughters, Mrs. O. J. (Evelyn) Tournilion Ill. New Orleans, Mrs. George (Vera) Fischer, Ponchatoula. and Mrs. Robert Wayne (Sandy) McLeod, Hammond; one son, Perry Arlen Mercler Sr., Albany; two sisters. Mrs. Andrew (Anna) Agnew Sr. and Mrs. Monroe (Madeline) Poche. both of Ponchatoula; one brother, James Mercier, Hammond; 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
