Funeral rites are set for Friday at 2 p.m. in Richman Funeral Home, Yorktown, for Harriet E. Simonson, 80, Fort Pierce, Fla., former Yorktown clerk-treasurer who died Tuesday.
She was first president of Mt. Pleasant Community School board, a member of the United Methodist Church, a Sunday School teacher, and a member of Happy Homemakers and Yorktown Womens Club.
Surviving are her husband, Charles; a son, Aaron, Sarasota, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Mrs. John Allen, Fort Pierce; two brothers, Thomas Miller, Yorktown and Arnold Miller, Cincinnati; a sister, Mrs. George Ward, Lawrenceburg; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Entombment will be at Elm Ridge Mausoleum. Calling will be from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
