Beverly Werelius-Wamsley, 77, of Sawyer, MI, passed away peacefully in her home on November 30th, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beverly was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 19, 1935 and moved to Sawyer in 1970. She is preceded in death by her parents, Anita and Clarence Higley, husband, Dr. Carl Y. Werelius and brother Robert Higley. She is survived by her son Karl (Monica) Werelius of Sawyer, daughter Greta (Greg) Van Ochten of Shorewood, Minnesota, husband Walter Wamsley, granddaughters Hannah, Natalie, Lillian and Isabel and numerous nieces and nephews.Beverly will always be remembered for her zest for life and her love of family and friends. She enjoyed performing at the Dunes Summer Theater in Michigan City, IN and the Twin City Players in St Joseph. She was also a long time member of Chikaming Country Club. The eternal Auntie Mame, Beverly lived life to its fullest. She has touched so many lives in a positive way and she will continue to spread joy and happiness in her new life.A visitation will be held at noon, followed by a memorial service at 1pm Saturday, December 8th at Harbert Community Church, 6444 Harbert Road, Sawyer.
