Visiting was held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, 6 to 10 p.m. Friday. Visiting at the funeral home 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Saturday, celebrated by Father Eugene Engels. Burial in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Cecile Pitre, Plaquemine; Muriel P. and James C. Rhed Sr. and Alvin LeJeune, all of Baton Rouge; seven sons and seven daughters-in-law, Preston J. and Daisy Pitre, Cyril Jr., and Bessie Pitre, Sheriff Freddie H. and Estelle Pitre, William J. and Theresa Pitre, Harold J. and Ruth Pitre, Arthur B. and Grace Pitre and Curtis R. and Judy Pitre, all of Plaquemine; 31 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
