Remonstrance.
Le Melle alias Bellegarde, "for these reasons and those our Lords we have shown in The Plea The petitioner persists in the conclusions which he has reached." (As much as to say, he flounders in a sticky mire, and resolves to stay stuck.)
In other words, it was better for Madame Delechaise to sell one of her plantations that to suffer its reversion to the royal domain, for want of resources to farm both estates profitably. No note by Council.

From the Louisiana Historical Quarterly
No. 3428. 5pp. Court of Alcaide Jacinto Panis. No Assessor. No Escribano named.
To collect a debt.
The plaintiff claims a debt of 162 pesos which he asks to have verified. Petition granted. In a second petition, Mr. Lemelle asks for a writ of citation because his opponent lives on his plantation. The writ is ordered issued by Alcalde Panis. It is issued and served. Santiago Chapron comes to the city, and under oath verifies his signature and acknowledges the debt. Lemelle asks the return of the note, as he and his opponent have settled their difference. When the note is returned he signs a receipt for it which ends the proceedings.
