LALLY FUNERAL RITES ARE HELD
Funeral services for Ralph Charles Lally were held Tuesday in the chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Inc. funeral home, 3827 Canal St., with a Requiem Mass.
Interment was in Metairie Cemetery.
Mr. Lally, 82, was president of the National Banana Association. He was in the food brokerage business with his brother in the firm of Lally and Lally. In 1926 he joined Standard Fruit and Steamship Corp. He was sales vice-president, executive president and then president. He was nationally known in the fruit and vegetable business.
He also served as head of the Banana Association.
A native of New Orleans, Mr. Lally was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and was a veteran or World War I.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Philomena Vaccaro Lally; a daughter, Mrs. John Brennan; a step-son, Vincent D'Antonio; a sister, Mrs. Ernest S. Gainnie; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
