CHURCH TO CONDUCT INSTALLATION RITE
Ordination and installation of three elders and installation of the newly elected board of trustees of the First Street Presbyterian church will be conducted in connection with the regular morning service at 10:30 a. m. Sunday at the church, 819 First street. The Rev. A. M. Schneider, pastor, will preside.
Elders to be inducted include Louis Earhart Kissgen, Robert Lincks, and Douglas Booth. Elders from other Presbyterian churches are invited to attend. Members of the new board of trustees are Peter J. Kissgen, Charles A. Rein, Fred Zimmerman, Charles Maumus, Adam Daubert, Calvin E. Kissgen and Howell Switzer.
The topic of Rev. Mr. schneider's sermon will be "Set Apart." Midweek prayer service will be conducted at 7:45 p. m. Wednesday.

John Lyons Post Elects Officers
Officers of the newly organized John P. Lyons Post No. 336, American Legion, were announced Thursday. The group meeting at a Ben's Cafe, 320 Carondelet, named David Lyons commander.
Other officers chosen were James Barry, first vice-commander; Calvin Kissgen, second vice-commander; John Ruckert, third vice-commander; Ben Abadie, adjutant; Louis Bonnett, finance officer; John Trower, chaplian, and Sam Janusa, sergeant-at-arms.

Calvin Earhart Kissgen , a retired executive with J. Everett Eaves Insurance, died Friday at his home. He was 87. Mr. Kissgen was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He graduated from Tulane University, where he was a member of the boxing team. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Jefferson Presbyterian Church and a 32nd-degree Mason with Lodge No.102, F&AM. Survivors include two nephews and a niece.
A funeral will be held Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. at Jefferson Presbyterian Church, 4450 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Bultman Funeral Home, 3338 St. Charles Ave. Burial will be in Lafayette Cemetery No.1.
