Beloved wife of the late Thomas F.; fond mother of Kathleen, Kevin, Daniel and the late Deborah and Tommy; dear daughter of the late Alpheous and Ruth Johnston; sister of Mary Sandburg, Jeanne VerSteeg and the late James Johnston.
Ruthe taught at York Community High School and Triton Community College for many years. She was also a founding member of Christ United Methodist Church, Elmhurst.
Memorial Visitation at Christ United Methodist Church, 920 S. Swain Ave., Elmhurst from 10:00 A.M. until time of memorial service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 5. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, Memorials will be appreciated for the church.

Mr. Miller was graduated from Purdue university and is a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He was associated with the Studebaker Co., and served as a first lieutenant in the USAAF in England.

Announcement has been made of the engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Ruthe Johnston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Johnston of Park Ridge, Ill., to Thomas F. Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Miller of Yorktown. Miss Johnston is business manager of the Fort Wayne Civic Theater and received a B. F. A. degree from the College of Fine Arts at Drake University in 1946. A member of Alpha Xi Delta, social sorority, and Zeta Phi Eta, national professional speech and arts fraternity, she also is affiliated with Theta Alpha Phi, national drama fraternity. Mr. Miller was graduated from Yorktown High School and from Purdue University, later attending the Northwestern University school of speech in Chicago. He was a lieutenant in the air force, stationed in England, and is a mechanical engineer at the Link-Belt Corporation in Chicago. He is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi fraternity.

The couple is living in Berwyn. Miller, a lieutenant in the air force during World War II, attended Northwestern university and was graduated from Purdue university.
