A wedding of interest this week was that of Miss Beatrice Griffin and Mr. Roy Jenkins, both of this city, which took place in Amite, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The bride was given in marriage by her mother. Mrs. P. V. Mallette, and was becomingly gowned in bride's pink fiat crepe with accessories to match. After the
ceremony, the young couple returned to Ponchatoula where a reception was held, a few intimate friends and relatives attending. In cutting the cake, Miss Hester Griffin, sister of the bride, cut the dime. Miss Ima Jenkins,
sister of the groom, the ring, and Miss Theo Rainey, the thimble. Following the reception. Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins left for a short honeymoon in Baton Rouge, after which they will be at home to their many friends at the home of the bride's parents.
