The funeral of William J. Hellbach took place from his residence in Grena [Gretna] at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon, burial was in Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 Members of the Wooloomooloo Gun and Rod Club attended in a body. Mr. Hellbach is survived by his wife, who was Miss Emma Walter, and a number of children.

Wm. J. Hellbach, Prominent in Slate Business,
Dies After Long Illness.
The death of William J. Hellbach, prominent in the slate business of New Orleans, and a well known resident of Gretna, occurred at his home in Lafayette avenue, corner of Tenth street, Sunday, at 12:30 o'clock, following a long illness, though he has been confined to his home but a short time. Mr. Hellbach was president of the Wooloomooloo Gun and Rod Club. He is survived by his wife and a number of children. The funeral will be held Monday.
