Von Salzen of Metairie, La. and Mrs. Dorothy M. Giardina, of New Orleans. Grandmother of Mrs. Georgene E. Matthews of Metairie, Mrs. Pamela J. Brown of Shreveport, La., Mrs. Connie A. Orgeron, of Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, and John W. Giardina, Jr. of Gretna, La, also survived by 3 great-granddaughters.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral from the uptown home Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 4127 S. Claiborne Avenue on Monday morning, October 27, 1986 at 11 o'clock a.m., with pastor Edgar Homrighausen of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church officiating. Interment in Cypress Grove Cemetery. Mildred Hellbach Von Salzen, a lifelong resident of New Orleans, died Thursady at her home after a long illness. She was 90. Mrs. Von Salzen was a homemaker and a member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She is survived by two daughters, Myrl A. Warren of North Carolina and Dorothy M. Giardina of New Orleans; a son, Conley C. Von Salzen of Metairie; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 4127 S. Claiborne Ave. Burial will be in Cypress Grove Cemetery.
