BANKSTON, JAMES DALLAS
Died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, at his home, 2406 Sherwood Drive. He was 72, a native of Holden, and a resident of Baton Rouge for the past 50 years. Rabenhorst Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Funeral services at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Rabenhorst, conducted by Dr. D. P. Worsham and the Rev. Charles Lamb. Burial with Masonic rites at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers: Byron Bankston, Calvin Bankston, Ernest Bankston, Marvin Bankston, Richard Byrd and Thomas W. Dawson Jr. He was a veteran of World War I and had been retired from Humble Oil Refinery since 1959. He was a member of Istrouma Lodge 414 and a Royal Arch Mason. He was a member of the Douglas Avenue Baptist Church and the Soul Winners Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Robertice Jenkins Bankston; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Nell Bankston Airhart, Baton Rouge; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Inez McIntyre Faust, a grand-daughter, Mrs. Dianna Airhart Pritchard, all of Baton Rouge; a grandson, Lance Duane Airhart, Dallas, Tex.; a great-grandson, Dallas Keith Pritchard of Baton Rouge; a step-granddaughter, Mrs. Janice Faust Gehring, Baton Rouge; a step-grandson, Bryant Lee
Faust, New Orleans; and four step-great-grandsons, David Keith Gehring, Kyle Brent Gehring, both of Baton Rouge, and Jeffrey Lee Faust and Matthew lScott Faust, both of New Orleans.
