Hoover , Ethel Bankston

A beloved homemaker and mother, she died at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at her home in Greenwell Springs. She was 80 and a native of Independence. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home chapel, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, from 9:30 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Kevin Hand. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Cary L. Hoover Sr. of Greenwell Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary L. and Mickie S. Hoover of Zachary and Cary L. Jr. and Debra Hoover of Greenwell Springs; and a brother, Travis Bankston of Independence.

Preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Velma Jones Bankston; and a sister, Doris Herring.

She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church and a former member of Baker First Baptist Church.
