BANKSTON , CARTER NORWOOD "PAW-PAW"

A resident of Springfield, he died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. He was 63 and a native of Albany. Visiting at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home chapel, Hammond, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday. Interment in Bankston Cemetery 4th Ward, Albany.

Survived by wife, Mary Lee Bankston , Springfield; a daughter, Joyce Bankston Rayburn, Albany; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Wayne and Cyndi Garner Bankston , Baton Rouge, and Ronny and Jerilu Hadden Bankston , Albany; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, Sim and Florence Kirby Bankston ; five brothers, Woodrow, Hollis, Tully E., Benny and Dewitt Bankston ; an infant brother and two infant sisters.

Pallbearers will be Steven, Tommy, Dustin, Billy Ray and Tully Bankston Jr. and Brandon Rayburn.
