Ross Hayes, 1927 Pleasant Run boulevard; struck by automobile, bruised and injured internally.
Ross Hayes was perhaps the most seriously injured in the street accidents and was the victim of careless auto drivers, according to witnesses. Two men in an automobile ran him down in front of 721 Virginia avenue, while going at a rapid rate of speed and hurled him from the bicycle he was riding. The autoists, it is asserted, did not stop to inquire into the seriousness of Hayes's injuries, but opened the throttle and disappeared. Bicyclemen Reed and Long who investigated, were unable to get more than a license number.
