Came to Home in Decatur Where She Died With Husband in 1873
Mrs. Tina Woodruff, wife of Brucé Woodruff, died at 6:15 o'clock Thursday morning in the home, 786 East
Cantrell street. She was 77 years of age. Mrs. W'oodruff suffered a. stroke of paralysis about 10 years ago and had been practically an invalid ever since.
Tina. Guard was born in Elizabethtown, Ohio, Oct. 30, 1813. March 19; [873 she was married in her home in Aurora, Ill.. to Bruce Woodruff who brought her as his bride to the Cantrell street home, where she has been an integral part of the community life ever since. She was a kind neighbor and a pleasant companion:
and her loss will be felt by a large circle of friends.
Leaves One Daughter
Mrs. Woodruff leaves one daughter; Miss Fannie Woodruff and a son, Harry W'oodruff besides the husband. She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. S, .x. Hess of Decatur, Mrs. H. E.Wilson, Allerton, Ill., and Mrs. L. G: Wright. Hot Springs. Ark:, and three brothers C. L. Guard, Lawernsburg, Ind., and T. Guard, Kansas City. Mo., and Alex Guard Urbana, Ill.
The funeral service will be held at the home, 786 East Cantrell street. at. 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon and the burial will be in Greenwood.
