[Note that the Hayes book has Edwards second wife as Ellen Chase, but I can find no such marriage. Instead I find an Edward Hayes marrying Ellen McKee 9/14/1891 not long after divorcing Jane, per the 1880 Census. Living next door to him is Almond and Ellen McKee. I suspect the Ellen McKee is the former Ellen Chase, and future Ellen Hayes.]
