PIPER CITY-(PNS)-Archie E. Hayes, 80, died at 11:50 a. m. Tuesday at the Fairbury Hospital at Fairbury following a lengthy illness.
His funeral will be at 10 a. m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Cosmas Novak officiating. Burial will be in Calvery Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Riley Funeral Home. The Rosary will be said by the Altar and Rosary Society at the funeral home at 3 p. m. Wednesday and the Parish Rosary will be said at 8 p. m.
He was born Dec. 12, 1875, at Elizabethtown, Ohio, a son of Anthony and Emma Stevens Hayes. He married Mary Bouhl Jan. 25, 1905. at Piper City.
Surviving are his wife and two grandchildren. Two sons preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Royal Neighbors.
