Anderson W. Hayes Twice Honored
By North Bend Voters.
Anderson W. Hayes, 68 years old, twice Mayor of North Bend, died last night at his home, Cincinnati avenue, North Bend, following an illness of more than a year.
Mr. Hayes for a long time was Assistant Custodian at the Hamilton County Courthouse. His colleagues
and the many persons he met each day at the Courthouse knew him as "Duffey." He was also known chiefly by that name in North Bend and neighboring villages. He always had been active in Republican politics.
Hayes's death came a year and three days after that of his wife, who for 30 years was postmistress of
North Bend. Funeral services are to be conducted at the North Bend United Brethren Church tomorrow
afternoon at 8 o'clock. Burial will he in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Hr. Hayes is survived by a son, Leslie Hayes. with whom he made his home.
