Griffin, Claude "Cooter"
He died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at his residence in Springfield. He was 49 and a native of Ponchatoula. Visitation was Monday at First Baptist Fundamental Church in Frost. Religious service at the church at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by his wife, Karen Griffin of Springfield; two sons, Shaun and Joshua Griffin, both of French Settlement; a brother, Ronald Griffin of Springfield; sister, Earleen Griffin Methvien of Independence; foster mother, Betty Ginn of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice Tilley Griffin and William Griffin; and a brother, Charles Griffin. Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge of arrangements.

SPRINGFIELD -- Claude "Cooter" Griffin, 49, a native of Ponchatoula, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Griffin of Springfield; two sons, Shaun and Joshua Griffin, both of French Settlement; a brother, Ronald Griffin of Springfield; a sister, Earleen Griffin Methvien of Independence; and a foster mother, Betty Ginn of Springfield.
His parents, Beatrice Tilley Griffin and William Griffin; and a brother, Charles Griffin, preceded him in death.
The funeral service was held this morning at the First Baptist Fundamental Church in Frost, and burial was in the church cemetery.
Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, was in charge of arrangements.
