Ward Lee Harris, Sr., 86, entered into rest on August 8, 2012. He was born on June 1, 1926 in New Orleans, LA. He served in the US Navy during WWII and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida. Mr. Harris retired from First Union Bank. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Ward is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Martha C. Harris; children, Susan (Jim) Antoon, Lee (Jeannie) Harris, Anne (Bob) Blankenship, Bill (Susan) Harris, Amy (Gregg) Morrill, Mike (Sheila) Harris; 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and brother, Jack (Sara) Harris.
Family will receive friends Friday, August 10, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. Mass will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 10 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11665 Fort Caroline Road Jacksonville, FL. Interment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.
