The Daily Picayune (N.O.) newspaper, 13 January 1883, p. 4, c. 4 HARRIS - On Friday, January 12, 1883, at 6 A.M., ERASTUS H. HARRIS, aged 56 years, a native of Brattleboro, Vt., and a resident of this city 35 years. The funeral will take place from his late residence, 181 Constance Street, This (Saturday) Morning, at 10 o'clock. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend.
