She also suffered with Crohn's disease which can lead to Colon cancer.

Per 9/11/1959 letter to insurance company, she went to family physicin Dr Robert Holmes for treatment of an abcess on the rectum. On 8/13/1959, the doctor performed a proctoscopic exam on her at Touro emergency room. 8/14/1959 returned to Touro for x-rays and barium tests. Diagnosis-abcess was a peri rectal fistula . Recommend rigid diet and medical treatment, to be followed by surgery if necessary.

Per 1/26/1960 letter to Dr Weiss, who performed her surgery (12/16/1959), she had an excision of cervical polyp, D & C, biopsy of cervix and cauterization of cervix. Examination was done under anesthesia at Touro hospital She listed religion Methodist, husband employed at Security Sporting Goods.
