THE CHARITON LEADER
Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, February 20, 1908

Mrs. John Long died at her home in Russell Monday afternoon at 2:40 p.m., after a lingering illness with Bright's disease and paralysis. Funeral services were held from the Christian church Wednesday morning at eleven o'clock, and interment made in the Allen cemetery.

She leaves five children, three boys and 2 girls: I. N., John, A. L., Mattie Etter and Mrs. John Davis to mourn the loss of a faithful mother. These sorrowing ones have the sympathy of the entire community.
