Dorothy Juliet Guerin Gros, a beloved mother, friend, and native of New Orleans, LA, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the age of 86. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Howard V. Gros, III and his wife Charlene Bernier Gros; Michael E. Gros and his wife Candice Thornell Gros; Barbara Gros Grammer and her husband Mark A. Grammer; five grandchildren, Marcia Gros Heine, Wade V. Gros, Jennifer L. Grammer, Christine Gros Carney, and Amanda Grammer Dodd; seven great grandchildren, Jacob Heine, Victoria Heine, Brooklyn Gros, Madisyn Dodd, Aliza Ripoll, Reagan Carney, and Gunner Dodd; as well as a brother Theodore Guerin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose Marie Imhoff Guerin and James Raymond Guerin; her husband, Howard Van Gros, Jr., with whom she joined in marriage on May 13, 1950; a daughter, Brenda Ann Gros; and five brother and sisters, James Raymond Guerin, Jr., Lawrence Guerin, Julie Guerin Delhom, Claude Guerin, Lorraine Guerin Gleason, and Fredrick Guerin.
