FROM NEW ORLEANS TO VIENNA
A CLASS OF CRIPPLED children in New Orleans made scrapebooks and toy ducks for some other children, maimed by war, in a faraway place called Vienna.
Their teacher, Mrs. Hebert Williams, told them that the boys and girls in Austria weren't as well off as they were. There was hardly enough money to buy them food, and so there were few toys for them to play with - only a small sandbox made by a one-armed director of their orphanage.
So, propped up in their chairs, guided by their teachers, 13 boys and girls at the special class for crippled children at Lafayette school, 2727 S. Carrolton, went to work About 30 ducks, sewn to shape out of yellow, blue and red plastic cloth, and eight scrapbooks, fashioned from sheets of wallpaper and pasted with pictures showing how life is in New Orleans, were sent to Vienna last spring.

GUERIN -- Of 8412 Belfast street, on Saturday, May 9, 1953, at 4:15 o'clock p. m., HENRY ROSELLES GUERIN III, son of Noemie Roux and Henry R. Guerin Jr.: brother of Marie Aline, Ronald J. and Linda Mae Guerin; grandson of Henry R. Guerin Sr.; aged 16 years: a native of New Orleans, La.
Relatives and friends of the family, also faculty and employes of Loyola university, employes of Standard Supplies Hardware Company, are invited to attend the funeral, Monda, May 11, 1953, at 10 o'clock a. m., from the auxillary funeral home of Jacob Schoen and Son, 3827 Canal street, at North Scott street, with requeim mass at Incarant Word church.
Interment in Greenwood cemetery.
