Mary E. Tapley dies at 62
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Guard) Tapley, 62, of 304 Rambling Road. wife of David A. Tapley, retired president of Transamerica Insurance Group and a member of its board of directors, died Tuesday in Leila Hospital. She had been a patient in the hospital since Dec.1.
She. was born in Lebanon, Ohio, and was a graduate of Miami University at Oxford, Ohio.
She was married to Tapley on June 16, l938 in Lebanon.
She was a menber of the First Presbyterian Church and the American Association of University Women.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, David R. Tapley of 229 Martha Drive; daughters, Mrs. Jere (Judith Ann) LaFollette of Seattle, Wash., Miss Martha Jeanne Tapley of Taos, N. M. , and Mrs.
John (Barbara Kay) Gillespie of Ann Arbor; two grandchildren: a brother, Charles Guard of Lebanon, and sisters, Mrs. Alice Parent of Lebanon, and Mrs. Paul (Persha) Price of Dayton,0hio.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.
